“Good Eye, Kid!”

I dreamt that I had just broke free from an abusive relationship that involved an attempt to be locked in a bathroom. Coincidentally, I was serving at a restaurant at the time, and out of the blue one night, the alarm system went off. It was a Code Red (a.k.a. “Bells and Bullhorns“) alarm, and I was told to “get in” the restaurant. I felt as though it was another attempt to “lock me in”. Although I was afraid, I exited the restaurant, went to my vehicle, and then waited at the back door for everybody to come out. The door was locked at that point. I couldn’t “get in” unless the lock was blown out.

After that horrible night, I decided to go to a local casino to play craps and de-stress. This game only caused me more anxiety. I noticed that there were some advantage players at the table, and I was being “gutted”. They would pull an “OJ” here and there to make me second guess myself, but I knew that these guys knew what they were doing. I stepped back and began “wonging” the tables, and keeping an eye on everyone in the game. I learned how to shoot, but I stayed out of the game, even when the table was “hot”. I wasn’t taking any chances to “pick up my chips”.

I couldn’t keep my thoughts in my head. From what I observed, I was being hit. I was confused and began doubting myself. If I told my story to somebody else, would it all make sense?

The next day, I had a talk with security about my observations. They confirmed that my story did make sense, and told me that I successfully spotted an assassination and theft attempt by individuals involved in organized crime. “Good eye, kid!”. I learned from this “so-called” nightmare and passed the security test. Then… I woke up.

This dream or “so-called” nightmare will NEVER become a reality, but what might become a reality, is a job in a casino. Afterall, I have a good eye!
